Mt Isa, NT Border & Katherine Music Muster

Heading further north to Mt Isa, but all roads closed north of Cloncurry, so we are heading to the Katherine Music Muster.

After 6 weeks of the Tinnie on the roof rack, we get to launch and check it all out on Lake Moondarra - actually the Dam water for Mt Isa.

Waiting for the mail, new rego doc's posted from the Gold Coast, after a week we gave up, the mail truck had rolled. Mail ended up back at point of origin two months later.


We found Mt Isa to be a neat tidy place, cost of every thing in general very reasonable and a good selection.



At last the NT Border and it's stopped raining.

Pulled into Katherine and set up camp on the old air field new the Country Music Muster Site, only three other camper's for the duration.

Camp at Mataranka Home Stead - Spa, to top up with water and get the washing done. Plus a swim in the natural hot spa - Head of the Roper River.

On our return from Fish Ash Bay - King River Rest Area 46ks South of Katherine.



Olny 5 nurse's in this group all given up on the profession due to the BS!

We pulled in by 1430hrs and by 1830hrs there were 7 campers

Great camp spot no one, but we did have to relocate due to a bush fire just over the ridge.

After a week at Corroborie Bilabong, the phone beeped with a SMS from Elaine, finally in Darwin, we were to have meet up three month earlier on the Roper, but the TC's had other idea's.
Three BT at Coolalinga CP. We were off home again to Thailand, so had a chance to catch up with Sam, Elaine, Graham & Heather


All wrapped and we are off ___
